FAMILY TIME - Great Harwood

To the north-east of Blackburn lies the area of Great Harwood. This project featured a property with a generous-sized plot. The brief was to create a simple family/social space across the whole garden, maintaining a sense of elegance and quality.

Pleached trees surround the perimeter, giving the immediate sense of leafy green privacy. Simple tiled raised borders with bursting borders reflect well from the large green lawn area. A feature swing seat overlooking the lawn brings an area for fun, relaxation and seclusion with plants encompassing the furniture from all sides. A large covered timber area allows the use of the garden in all weathers, offering a social area, along with a dining and kitchenette. The family really do utilise this space and it has been to hear about how much they are enjoying the transformation.
